Brianna Sculley, LMSW, received her graduate degree from Columbia University School of Social Work where she was intensively trained through the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training program and lab under Andre Ivanoff, Ph.D.  She brings her enthusiasm and collaborative communication style to all aspects of her work at BHBA, where she is an individual DBT therapist for patients of various ages, a co-leader for DBT skills classes and engages in learning and teaching DBT skills in didactic seminars. She is also a member of BHBA’s adherent DBT weekly consultation team. Brianna’s clinical strengths lie in the treatment of OCD, anxiety, suicidal behaviors, depression and other problems involving severe emotional dysregulation.

Previously, Brianna received her B.F.A. from New York University Tisch School of the Arts where she majored in Theater and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. Brianna brings impressive previous clinical experience to BHBA in conducting intake assessments and providing individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and aging populations during her work at the Puerto Rican Family Institute mental health clinic in Brooklyn.

Brianna’s background in acting and child development from NYU has influenced a creative and unique therapy approach. Furthermore, as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a prior stilt walker, she has firsthand knowledge of how powerful and transformative Mindfulness and Zen can be and its utility in assisting with transformation and growth within the therapeutic environment. Her passion for this work will certainly enhance positive therapy outcomes.
