Grace Cline, LMSW

Grace Cline is a psychotherapist and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) at Brooklyn Heights Behavioral Associates (BHBA). She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, where she specialized in advanced clinical practice with a focus on behavioral health and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Before graduate school, Grace completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Marketing, at Lehigh University. She also brings experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), having worked as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Grace has long felt called to the field of therapy, driven by both a deep curiosity about the human experience and personal exposure to the challenges of depression and suicidality within her family and community. These lived experiences fuel her dedication to helping others build a life worth living. She is especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults who are navigating intense emotions, difficult transitions, or struggles with hope and direction.

At BHBA, Grace provides individual therapy and DBT skills training, offering care that is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based practice. She uses DBT as her core framework and believes that a strong therapeutic relationship — built on warmth, trust, and collaboration — is the foundation of healing. Grace’s clients often describe her as warm, personable, gently challenging, and a little bit silly — someone who creates a safe space while encouraging growth. She brings curiosity, joy, and openness to her work, always holding faith in her clients’ strength, even when they feel at their weakest. Grounded in a social work lens, Grace recognizes how our biology and psychology are shaped by the world around us, and how healing must address both internal and external realities.

Her clinical experience includes working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, OCD, personality disorders, and trauma-related concerns. Grace completed her clinical internship at Behavioral Psych Studio, where she provided individual therapy for adolescents and adults and facilitated skills coaching using comprehensive DBT, DBT-informed, and behavioral approaches.

Outside the therapy room, Grace enjoys traveling, experimenting with new recipes, reading, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
