Join us to learn cutting edge evidence-based parenting techniques from the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) treatment protocol. SPACE was researched and developed at Yale Parenting Center by Dr. Eli Lebowitz and intended for parents of children who struggle with anxiety and/or obsessive compulsive symptoms. Therapists at BHBA are trained by the developer in this modality.

The curriculum starts with fundamentals and progresses and builds to more advanced techniques. Therefore parents need to commit to the full workshop.

SPACE teaches parents how to best respond to their child’s anxiety. These techniques are proven to be very effective in the treatment of childhood anxiety and equally and potentially more effective than individual therapy for the child.

More information can be found on this effective program at www.spacetreatment.net. If your child struggles with obsessive thoughts or compulsive behaviors, general anxiety, separation anxiety, selective mutism, social anxiety, or any anxiety symptom at all SPACE can help.

You can expect to:

  • gain confidence in parenting your anxious child

  • develop tools to effectively address your child’s anxiety

  • reduce behaviors that maintain, contribute or reinforce your child’s anxiety
