Technology Safety and Parental Control Workshop

Dr. Bellet's parenting center is excited to announce this interactive workshop entitled, Technology Safety and Parental Controls 

The struggle is real! The world of social media, unlimited access to the internet, and frequent screen usage can feel overwhelming for parents. Luckily, we are here to help. Over this 3 class remote workshop we provide you with answers and tools for managing screen time and content, and to build screen safety at school and home.

Content & Curriculum 
Session 1: Research & Recommendations

  • Review latest research on technology usage and the impact on families across age groups

  • Review research based recommendations for technology usage across age groups

  • Make recommendations for increased internet safety 

  • Set a plan of action for your family to implement between sessions


Session 2: Recommendations

  • Brief review of recommendations made in Session 1

  • Discuss implementation of action plan

  • Provide strategic help with implementation

  • Set action plan & commitment for long term implementation 


Session 3: Parental Controls & Social Media

  • Overview of parental controls

  • Common features and how to use them

  • Review of common social media apps

  • Recommendations to manage social media apps 


This workshop runs for 3 consecutive Fridays from 12 to 1pm EST on January 19th, 26th, and February 2nd. The fee is $300.
